“One of the major advantages of project work is that it makes school more like real life. It’s an in-depth investigation of a real-world topic worthy of children’s attention and effort.”- Education Researcher, Sylvia Chard

Beaconhouse School System (BSS) has always been the market leader in adopting innovative education trends and progressive teaching approaches. Strong curriculum delivery and teacher development programs are at the heart of our educational objectives. With the advent of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach in Pakistan by BSS, we have yet again offered our students a new avenue of exploration, learning, and application of knowledge. Learner agency is an area that BSS students have explored through the IB and PBL approaches, offered at our specialized schools only.

In order to upgrade our mainstream schools, we bring you this opportunity to experience these advanced teaching approaches which is a rapidly adopted trend in the field of progressive education.

BSS intends to improve the learning experience of its students and promote learner agency. This generates a requirement for a system-wide approach for BSS to transition into the PBL. To acclimatize our schools with the PBL approach, a successful initiative has been piloted in selected schools of BSS. This program has proved greatly beneficial for teachers and students to gain hands-on experience of the PBL approach.
